The Economics of Happiness
Two opportunities are available this month to hear presentations by the highly acclaimed
economist Professor Bruno Frey, who is visiting Curtin University this month. Professor Frey, of
the University of
Zurich, is one of
the world’s foremost experts on the ‘economics of happiness’ and renowned for
combining insights from the disciplines of psychology and sociology into
economic analysis. He is the Managing Editor of the journal Kyklos, a member of the Institute for
Scientific Information’s (ISI) group of most cited researchers, and has
published over 300 articles in peer reviewed journals and some 20 books,
including Successful Management by
Motivation.

Frey will be giving a public lecture at Curtin University on the evening of the

Frey will be giving the keynote address at a half-day Policy Forum “Can economic
policy make us happy?” on the morning of the 27th of January.
